On April 30, the Porkhov Museum (Porkhov, Pskov Region) opened the exhibition "The House of the Zemstvo Doctor. A cross-section of three epochs". This collection tells about the representatives of the four generations of the Wolfson-Smolyanov family, including doctors, military personnel, engineers, economists, merchants, geologists, and scientists.

The history of the great-grandfather Vladimir Mikhailovich Smolyanov (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CTG Group of companies and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the CIT consortium), is connected with the Porkhovsky district. Adolf Solomonovich Wolfson from 1900 to 1911 worked as a zemstvo doctor of the Soletsky medical district of the Porkhovsky district of the Pskov province.

Vladimir Mikhailovich donated to the museum a collection consisting of furniture and interior items, paintings, dishes, medical instruments, photographs and documents in the amount of more than 500 items of storage. He is going to continue cooperation in this direction in the future.

Even now, every visitor to the museum can plunge into the atmosphere of the era of the XIX-XX centuries and learn how the zemstvo doctors lived and treated people in those days.
